Alan Turing

birth: June 23, 1912. death: June 7, 1954.
College:Princeton University (1936–1938), King's College, Cambridge (1931–1934), and University of Cambridge
Jobs: Worked at National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
Computers were originally a job. humans were hired to be computers and complete calculations. That was until Alan Turing, a mathematician, created the Turing Machine. The Turing Machine of the first computing machines. This machine was programed to read lines as numbers and calculated math equations. This machine was able to complete possible equations with exact answers. The turing machine counted "off" and "on" to complete calculations. This simple system is called binary and is still used in computers today. Computers nowadays complete actions based set instructions or programs.
